What's new:
What's new at LaserNet -- 1999

We started "What's new at Lasernet" waaaay back in 1999. It's impressive to look through the various years at all the work we've done, all the audiences we've excited, all the places we've visited and the friends we've made along the way.

December
1999

Before we got to the Millennium we were summoned down to Panama for the Panama Canal changeover ceremony (from U.S. to Panamanian control).
Two of our 20-Watt YAG laser projectors were positioned to shoot over the bay to the accompaniment of a giant fireworks show. President Carter shared the excitement with thousands of Panamanians.

November
1999

We saw plenty of action as we prepared for the New Year while at the same time handling our regular show schedule.

The highlight was Gator Growl at the University of Florida. Our 60-Watt Yag system, affectionately known as the "three headed monster", blasted into the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" to lead the student run stadium comedy show.

We started our Millennium celebrations at the end of November with a six-week engagement in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Our 60-Watt Yag laser was mounted on the "cupulo" (top) of the Capitol building and ran nightly to a choreographed soundtrack. Thousands of people watched the shows that helped "light up" the Capitol.
